New Look & New Options Model

We’re excited to announce the launch of our new branding for OptionStrat! At OptionStrat, we strive to make options investing easier and more accessible for everyone, regardless of experience level. Our new branding reflects this goal, with a modern and professional look that is both inviting and informative.

In addition to our new look, we are launching an improved options model that powers our predictions in our options profit calculator tool. Previously, we, along with most other websites and platforms, used a European options model for pricing all options. We have upgraded to an American options model that will return better results for the options traded here in the U.S. While a European model is faster and often “good enough”, we want to provide the most accurate predictions we can – even if it means sacrificing a bit of performance. Since American options can be exercised early, there are some slight differences in how they are calculated under the new model. For most strategies you won’t notice a difference, but for more complex strategies you may see some welcome differences.

Professional option trader Steve Ganz has joined OptionStrat to provide regular educational content to help you become a better trader. We will be publishing weekly videos on a variety of interesting trade ideas and tips. Our latest videos follow a series of trades made by Steve to turn a basic put trade into a safe “no lose” trade to lock in profits. You can check out the videos on our YouTube channel.
